After four years of teaching classes in London and Los Angeles, we have opened a new branch in Canada. Regular classes will now be available in both Toronto and Montreal.

Canada has a big mocap industry on both the east and west coast. With companies like Electronic Arts and Ubisoft shooting year round, developers need actors that understand the needs of this unique area of the business.

Pascal Langdale and Michela Cannon, veterans of the mocap world, will be helping students to build a solid foundation for working in performance capture.  Our classes are a mixture of physical exercises, play and exploration, as well as the theory behind the technology and methodology of motion capture.

Pascal Langdale was originally a dancer (Royal Ballet School, Elmhurst Theatre School) and then trained at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London (RADA).  Combining his movement skills and specialty in Nonverbal Behavior into acting, Pascal has combined a career in Television, theatre and film,  with extensive work in Motion capture. Since moving to Toronto in 2011, Pascal has been seen in productions including "Killjoys", "Suits", "Bitten", "Murdoch Mysteries" and "Nikita". His debut as lead character Ethan Mars in "Heavy Rain" for Quantic Dream/Sony was followed by credits in "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell:Blacklist", "Assassin's Creed: Syndicate" and "The Division". Pascal continues to regularly work in a Mocap suit for Ubisoft Canada,  and has produced co-written and starred in 2 plays utilising Mocap - Live-animated interactive dramas "Faster Than Night" and "The Augmentalist".  He is currently consulting on Behavioral Library creation and application on two productions.

Micela Cannon is a Toronto based actor who is currently working on her fifth video game with Ubisoft. She is a graduate of Ryerson’s Acting Conservatory, where she developed an interest in movement. She trained in aerial silks for a theatre production before going on to help launch No Parachute Theatre, an aerial theatre company that incorporates circus arts, dance, movement and voice. Michela provided performance capture and voice for dozens of characters in her first game, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate before booking a feature role in Watch Dogs 2. Since then has been involved in Starlink: Battle for Atlas and Far Cry 5 at Ubisoft, as well as the English premiere of You Will Remember Me at Tarragon Theatre. This year saw her filming an episode of Murdoch Mysteries and playing a lead role in The Truth About Christmas. She is particularly excited by the game she has been working on for the past year with Ubisoft and is curious to see how the video game industry will continue to evolve.
