Learn exactly what it takes, what to think about, and how to deliver what each decision-maker in the pipeline needs — ensuring that even if you don't get the job, the casting will be one that gets you invited back.
How it works
Before, During & After
Selected students receive a submission breakdown before the masterclass — the same lead time you would have for a real casting. You record your self tape at home and send it to us to be ready to be shown at the start of the masterclass, allowing for a before-and-after record.
On the day, self tapes are reviewed and rehearsals conducted as a group. Every student then records a new self tape in the studio with individual redirects. All students watch one another's work and have group access to feedback — so you learn from every casting in the room, not just your own.
After the masterclass, your self tape receives additional written feedback from Gareth Taylor, Paul-William Mawhinney and Richard Dorton.
Prerequisites
Who This Is For
This masterclass is designed for actors who have already gone through the three foundational classes. You must have done so to apply.
Prerequisite: You must have completed Heroes & Monsters 2 to participate, unless directly contacted by the teaching team.
Although the class takes place in a mocap studio, we will not be using mocap suits or capture technology at this stage — it would only serve as a distraction. The technology is introduced later in our curriculum.

What to Bring
On the Day
Although we will have basic alternatives, bring your own self tape equipment — this speeds up the process as each actor has a "station" for their set up. This is a safe space where your skill as an actor is seen in the context of learning — not a final assessment of your talent.
After running successful Mocap Casting Masterclasses with casting directors in Canada, Pascal now brings these same takeaways — equally applicable to the UK industry — in this unique format.
