Pascal Langdale will be working with you to build a solid foundation for working in performance capture.  A physical day of exercises, play and exploration as well as some theory on the technology and methodology of how Mocap works.

Pascal Langdale is an actor and teacher known for his reliable versatility across multiple media. He has worked in TV, Film, Voice and Video Game, and has been described as the “Swiss Army Knife” of Mocap. Head of the Canadian branch of The Mocap Vaults, Pascal is a movement specialist with an expertise in nonverbal behavior, bringing characters to life through voice, body and psychology. His most recent mocap work includes Far Cry 6 as a body double and the voice of Bagley in Watchdogs: Legion (Nominated for a Canadian Game Award), also contributing to many of the 'Play as anyone' NPC's, as actor and movement choreographer. With Mocap co-founder John Dower, Pascal wrote “Performing for Motion Capture - A Guide for Practitioners” (Bloomsbury Methuen). This is the world’s first book to cover what any actor (or Director) needs to know to excel in this exciting new medium.

*Please note that this class does not make use of mocap technology. At this stage, the technology serves only as a distraction and slows down the process considerably. We introduce the mocap studio tech later on in our curriculum.
